Our Projects
St John’s Episcopal Church
A "close to home" charger!
We partnered with EVmatch to build our first charger with the Keeling Curve grant.  Our level 2 chargers provide affordable and reservable charging with EVmatch, a peer-to-peer charging platform (download their app!). Our first charger is located at 3857 N Kostner Ave in Chicago’s Old Irving Park neighborhood. It is available for use from 24/7 to support locals who don't have home charging or those needing to top off as they visit the neighborhood. Proceeds go to the church and you can take a stroll over to the small business corridor nearby!
Second charger located in Albany Park by our friends at Meeting Tomorrow
Powered by community solar!
This charger is located at 4763 N. Manor Ave in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood. The charger supports multi-family residents, neighbors, and the employees of Meeting Tomorrow who own and operate the equipment. Charging individuals can take a walk along the river or grab takeout from some of the local restaurants nearby! Plus, you should know that this charger is powered by community solar. Way to go, Meeting Tomorrow!
How we build a community charger
Helping you get the info you need to own and operate
We only work teams of experienced, Chicago-based electrical contractors to ensure our projects are safely installed and create local jobs. We help you identify ideal sites for L2 charging in your community or assess your property. We connect you to resource you need and help reduce the upfront cost. Need help fundraising for the project? Curious about grants that can support it? Government incentives? Equipment? We want to support you to make an impact.
Plant Chicago
Supporting the circular and clean energy economy - first public chargers in Back of the Yards!
Using the Keeling Curve grant, we built the first public chargers in the Back of the Yards neighborhood at Plant Chicago, a community non-profit that cultivates local circular economies. Come charge, take a tour, and support the local businesses they rep! Plus, there's a great farmer's market across the street.
St Paul & the Redeemer Episcopal Church
First public charger in Hyde Park OUTSIDE of an expensive parking garage!
The community host team at St Paul & the Redeemer recognized that they could support their multi-family neighbors and Hyde Park visitors in going electric as well as boost awareness of the importance of clean transportation and charging access for everyone. Plus, the only charging nearby is in expensive parking garages! Come charge during the day or even overnight - proceeds go to St Paul's! Photo credit to Taylor Glascock/For the Washington Post.
